We have been pretty fortunate to test out a lot of gear this year. Some gear was amazing and some had us scratching our heads. Most of the time, the way you can tell if we really are in love with a piece of gear, look for using it on our personal ride time or in our daily life!
So here are our totally not professional iPhone photos of us using our picks for "Gear of the Year" in the field! Once again excuse the camera quailty, but we think it shows how much we really like using this gear!
Hands down the tool that has saved us the most this year, the Dynaplug Racer Pro is a must have for every rider out there! It’s a tire plug that actually works. That might sound like a funny thing to say, but there have been so many times we have used other plugs that fail to get the job done and the Dynaplug has restored our trust in tire plugs! The Racer Pro is nice and sleek as well, making it super easy to bring along on rides! https://amzn.to/41JgyCZ
Sometimes simple really is best, and the Rakk 2.0 proves that! This freestanding bike stand makes storing your bike or just keeping it up super easy. Whether you use it for the front wheel or by the back, your bike stays up and that is pretty much the end to that. Once again simple is key here, it's so basic but also is very compact and easy to fold up. A must have for any garage or shop!
Chance are if you saw us riding with a hydration back pack this year, you are not going crazy. Most people know we do not like riding with backpacks but the USWE hydration bag changed that! Super minimal and lightweight, you can barely tell that it is there and there strap system keeps the bag in place, no matter how rowdy the downhill is! https://alnk.to/cSIJId9
Hands down the best bike travel bag we have ever used, we have flown with this SciCon travel bag at least 15 times in the last year. We do not understand what is wrong with this company or who they are, but this bag has been pretty much 50% off for the last year straight. It really makes no sense given how good the bag is. You do not have to take the handbars off and it is so easy to pack! https://alnk.to/fShCo64
The new line of DVO for 2024 blew us away as soon as we got to try it! We have tested all of their forks with OTT, but this year they ditched that system for their new SL air system and the new forks we're awesome! The Onyx 38 stole the show with how capable it felt in the chunk while still letting you play around out on the trails! Plus that new grey color is insane, great job DVO!
